IAQ 2027 Conference VenueThe Royal Danish Academy, Institute of Conservation, is pleased to organize the 17th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality in Heritage and Historic Environments, IAQ 2027.The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for discussions on the influence of indoor air quality on heritage objects, collections and historic interiors, including museums, libraries, archives, historic houses, and churches and other places of worship. It is traditionally attended by a diverse audience of conservators, curators, scientists, students, collection managers and other stakeholders. IAQ 2027 will be held in a at the Royal Danish Academy's Campus Holmen near the Copenhagen harbor front, on March 16-17, 2027. Information about registration will be updated here in due time, but for now please note the call for abstracts below. We look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen!
Call for abstractsThe IAQ conference series (http://IAQ.dk) invites abstracts for the 17th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality in Heritage and Historic Environments (IAQ 2027), to be held in Copenhagen on 16-17 March 2027 and organized by the Royal Danish Academy, Institute of Conservation. We welcome contributions addressing indoor air quality topics such as pollution monitoring and modelling, preventive conservation strategies, impact of and testing for material emissions, sustainable climate and pollution control, risk assessment, energy-efficient building refurbishment, and innovative analytical or mitigation approaches. Practical case studies and experiences from collection care, exhibition design, storage environments, and historic buildings are particularly encouraged.
The IAQ conference series traditionally brings together conservators, conservation scientists, curators, engineers, architects, collection managers, students, and other professionals engaged in the preservation of cultural heritage. Please note abstract submission deadline: October 1st, 2026. For submission of abstracts, please use the template provided. Information regarding style and length, and submission details, are described in the template: (MS Word Abstract Template).
